Frequently Asked Questions

Below you’ll find answers to your most burning questions … or at least some helpful information about my photography sessions. Got a question that wasn’t answered here? Email me and I’d be happy to help you.

Most family sessions last approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. When I first arrive at your home, or alternative location, I generally take a little time to get to know you and your children (perhaps telling a few very bad knock-knock jokes), as it helps everyone feel a little more relaxed and at ease. We may start with a few group shots, or individual shots, dependent up the ages of the children and the family interests. We might play a little outside and then perhaps venture indoors to a favorite room or a child’s room so they can show me a few of their favorite things.

Generally speaking, everyone should wear what they love and feel comfortable in. That said, I do discourage super bright or highly patterned clothing. I also suggest being mindful of logos as they can be distracting. Bare feet, when possible, is always encouraged 🙂

I do not have a dedicated studio but I sometimes host shoots at my home, inside where I have a lot of light, or outside on the grounds of my little horse farm. However, much to my daughters’ chagrin, we do not currently have horses.

Yes, let’s go!

My usual timetable for providing a private viewing gallery is between 3 and 5 business days. I am sometimes able to crack the whip a little faster but depending upon my schedule, there might be an up-charge for a speedy turnaround.

I can absolutely curate one-of-a-kind products to preserve and present your precious memories.
